Chicago, its time to say farewell. Ive loved you for 13 years but its time for a change. Im moving on for the time being to check out another part of the country.
This is a move thats been in the making for years, talk to my friends about it, or dont, they are tired of hearing about it. Anyway, this is a move I’ve wanted to make for a long time but never had the right timing/opportunity to do so. Ive been given that opportunity and the timing is perfect.
Ill be in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle and living 2 blocks from Puget Sound/Elliot Bay and 2 blocks from the downtown area of Ballard.
I head out on April 1st and no, its not an April fools joke. The drive out there will be 35 hours and I plan on making it into a 7 day trip. Ill stop in Omaha and Denver and after that, depending on the weather, Ill drive thru a very scenic area thru the mountains and swing by Salt Lake City, Boise and end in Seattle.
Im going to make a consious effort to update this blog a lot more during this trip. I look forward to sharing my adventure with my dog across the country to our new home!
